Terms of Service

1. Access to and Use of Our Website

Access to and use of this site are subject to these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations, including copyright and trademark laws. By using this site, you accept all of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Sales & Purchases

Hartfield Jewellers does not offer online purchases. All sales are made in-store only. Please visit our boutique to view and purchase jewellery collections. All sales are subject to our in-store Returns & Store Credit Policy.

3. Repairs Policy

We offer professional repair, cleaning, and alteration services to restore jewellery to its best condition.
Minor adjustments, such as re-sizing or clasp tightening, are available for Chaumet, Pasquale Bruni, and Spallanzani pieces.
Major repairs or significant alterations must be sent to the manufacturer for assessment. We will communicate any timeframes or costs before proceeding.
We also assist with watch battery replacements and can advise on other services if needed.
Items left for repair or alteration are at the owner’s risk. Identification may be requested if repair receipts are lost.
Items under warranty must include the original guarantee or receipt; otherwise, standard charges apply.

4. Returns & Store Credit Policy

Returns are accepted on unworn, undamaged items in original packaging within 14 days of purchase.
Refunds are not offered for change of mind. Approved returns will be issued as store credit, valid for 6 months.
Custom-made, engraved, resized, or altered items are non-returnable unless deemed faulty by the manufacturer.
Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
Any concerns regarding quality or faults must be referred to the manufacturer for inspection.
Damaged or faulty items require manufacturer inspection before any remedy is offered.
If a fault is confirmed, Hartfield Jewellers will provide repair, replacement, or store credit as per the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
If no fault is found, no remedy will be provided.
All costs of returning items to Hartfield Jewellers are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is confirmed faulty.
Items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by Hartfield Jewellers.

5. Ring Sizing Policy

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct ring size.
We can assist with resizing if possible; some pieces may not be resizable due to design or gemstone settings.
Contact us before resizing elsewhere to avoid voiding warranties.

6. Product Availability

We strive to keep popular items in stock but some jewellery may require special ordering.
Estimated delivery times will be communicated at purchase and if delays occur.

7. Copyright

All jewellery designs, images, and website content are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. No content may be copied or reused without written permission from Hartfield Jewellers Limited.

8. Errors & Omissions

We aim for accuracy but mistakes may occur. Customers will be notified and orders corrected accordingly.

9. Cancellations

Bespoke or special-order items cannot be cancelled once production has started.
Deposits may be forfeited upon cancellation.

10. Changes to Our Website

Hartfield Jewellers reserves the right to change product details, prices, or website content without notice.

11. Colour Accuracy

Jewellery colours may vary slightly due to device display differences.

12. Loss or Damage in Transit

We package items carefully but are not liable for loss or damage in transit or items signed for by unauthorized third parties.

13. Duty-Free / Tax-Free Purchases

Tax-free purchases are available for clients departing New Zealand, subject to:

  • Minimum spend of NZD $4,000

  • Valid passport and flight details

  • Purchases are for personal use only and not for resale

14. Fraud Protection

We screen orders for fraud and may cancel or refuse orders suspected of unauthorized or illegal activity without notice.
